Dr. Hung’s work is grounded in the belief that psychological difficulties do not exist in isolation. They are shaped by our life experiences, relationships, culture, and the ways we have learned to cope. Together, we will make sense of your experiences with curiosity and compassion, develop practical ways to respond more flexibly, reconnect with your strengths and values, and move towards a life that feels more meaningful to you.
My practice combines evidence-based psychology with the creative depth of Expressive Arts Therapy. When words feel difficult to find, we may also draw upon creative and experiential approaches to support emotional expression, deepen reflection, and discover new ways of understanding yourself.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Expressive Arts Therapist with experience working across public healthcare, private practice, research, education, and community mental health services in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and Africa.
Since 2016, I have worked across both research and clinical roles supporting individuals experiencing eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, substance misuse, psychosis, chronic pain, emotional difficulties, and cross-cultural challenges. I currently work within a specialist NHS Eating Disorders Service in the United Kingdom, where I provide evidence-based treatments including CBT-E, CBT-T, and MANTRA.
My clinical interests lie in eating disorders, trauma, mindfulness, and creative approaches to mental health, with a strong commitment to early intervention and community psychology. I believe lasting psychological wellbeing comes not only from reducing symptoms, but from understanding the wider contexts that shape our experiences—including our relationships, culture, identity, and communities.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual's unique needs. I primarily draw upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), mindfulness, and Expressive Arts Therapy. Having practised mindfulness and meditation for over ten years, my work is also influenced by principles of awareness, compassion, and acceptance.
Therapy is not about "fixing" who you are. Rather, it is about creating a safe relationship where you can better understand yourself, discover new perspectives, reconnect with your inner strengths, and develop the psychological flexibility to live in a way that is more consistent with your values. When words feel difficult to find, I may integrate creative and experiential approaches to facilitate emotional expression and deepen reflection.
